Exploring faith might seem overwhelming; and oftentimes, we wonder where to start, or even how it relates to our purpose. You are in the right place to search it out and discover faith and purpose that will change you from the inside out.
Am I Brave?
What do people like Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King Jr. and Harriet Tubman have in common? They were all burdened enough about injustice that they made a decision to do something about it. History is taught and remembered because of their divine purpose. Their choice to make a difference changed the world…and yours can too.
Every one of us is designed with unique gifts, talents and personalities that ultimately determine our purpose. Far too often, we have a burden burning in our hearts oppressing us from all angles. Questions invade our ability to take on such huge tasks; however, the truest form of our purpose is developed when bravery exceeds regret.
One Step at a Time
The famous quote says, “A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step.” Nonetheless, why is it so hard to take that initial plunge? Fear crashes your best intentions, and loss of hope transpires before your first move. But, what if today you took “a step” towards that dream you have put off for years?
Constantly reminding yourself, a walk begins with one step, and then another, and another. No matter how long your journey seems, if you take enough steps in the right direction, you will eventually arrive at your desired destination.
Your Mess Matters
If you feel a burden on your heart, don’t dismiss that still small voice. Perhaps you are hiding, believing someone else can take the reins. Don’t dismiss it this time – step into all that you were created for. Those yearnings are placed in you for a divine purpose.
If you feel your past disqualifies you, think again. Your life is one of immense worth, and your real life experiences can be used for good. Never disregard your mess; it can become your message.
There will always be a lengthy list of reasons to inhibit your new ventures. Therefore, you’ve got to step out to find out. So…
Start…
Start now!
Start with fear!
Start with pain!
Start with voice trembling!
Start with doubt!
Start right where you are!
Start with what you have!
Start with knees knocking!
Just start – no excuses, just results!
If we truly want to experience our purpose on this earth, inclusive of our families, churches, communities and schools; we have to set aside our own vision and embrace a faith that is greater in us than is in the world.
By embarking on a path of determination, one day we will look back, not with regret, but with gratitude, amazed at the great things accomplished when we yielded our lives to divine meaning.
