The world provides a sneaky way of getting into our thinking. We feel the whole world is against us, when in actuality, it is the devil persuading our thoughts.
For example:
*Your friend may have said something that hurt your feelings, but it’s the devil who is trying to steal your joy.
*The company may have laid you off, but it’s the devil who is trying to drive you into depression.
*Your spouse may have left you, but it’s the devil who is trying to make you feel rejected and unloved.
John 10:10 states, “Jesus has already defeated the enemy – this is why the Word of God promises you can have and enjoy your life and have it in abundance.” When we rise above our circumstances and see life not from our own anxious, urgent, overwhelming perspective but from God’s, life’s battles become less intimidating as eternity’s promises rise into view.
Life is full of painful moments that creep up unexpectedly, but it’s also full of second chances. Don’t give up. The season of your greatest rejoicing can be now, when you consider the strength God provides.
Having courage, being brave, and remaining firm can only hold on for so long. Sometimes we need to recognize that it’s time to call on the supernatural strength of our Father in heaven. Your weaknesses allow God a divine opportunity to shine His strength through you. We may “feel” defeated, but we will never “be” defeated!
As you go about your day, remember that there is a battle being fought. But don’t be anxious or afraid…be bold and confident, knowing that no weapon formed against you shall prosper!
Once resisted, the devil no longer has authority to defeat you! Resist, dear Woman of Faith, your life depends on it!
