Life is filled with struggles that reveal our human inadequacies. We experience relationship troubles that bring frustration and stress. We experience physical limitations that leave us weak and unable to cope. We experience battles with habits and addictions that leave us feeling defeated. We experience financial pressures of living up to today’s society. There is not one of us who could say we like the fear and frustration of dealing with these types of challenges. However, if we allow God to be a part of these problems with us – He can use them for good.
I doubt you have considered inadequacy a blessing. After all, it has a way of stirring up some pretty uncomfortable emotions that can leave us feeling weak and insignificant. But God (I just love that phrase, it brings so much hope), can turn those negatives into blessings if we acknowledge our helplessness. We have to embrace the place of depending on His strength and stepping into our challenges with confidence that is rooted in Him.
Inadequacy can be a blessing because it motivates us to live in the power of the Holy Spirit. It provides an opportunity for the God who loves you beyond measure to demonstrate what He is really capable of. Allowing Christ to receive all the glory replaces our pride with humility and that, dear Moms, is when we experience life change. There is a peace that transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7) when we allow God to have reign over our lives.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are equipped with the ability to endure difficulties and accomplish what the Lord has called us to do. When we claim that God is all-sufficient, we can confront every circumstance with confidence. As Corinthians 3:4-5 clearly states, “Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.” Release your inadequacies today, and allow God to use them in your life for good.
BE REAL – BE YOU!
