Does anyone want to be more intentional? Maybe you feel like your days get lost in the mundane tasks of motherhood. I know I can slither into a self-pity pit when I feel unproductive. However, I want us to think about one area where we can be intentional – prayer. As Moms with so many demands, let’s embrace the one thing that can make a difference in our daily lives; and while we are at it, let’s take the opportunity to encourage the lives of other women who need to know God is for them not against them.
Several years ago, I use to find myself saying to my dear friends in Bible Study, “I will be praying for you this week.” When in reality, I didn’t lift their prayer requests up one time that week. At the next class I would feel terrible. However, I was waiting for the “perfect” time to kneel and perform the “perfect” prayer for my friends. No perfect formula exists for prayer – the simple words of an intentional prayer can be life changing! I encourage you the next time you receive an email, text or request for prayer – be intentional and pray right then.
Prayer is an opportunity not an obligation…
Arctiles like this make life so much simpler.
I am learning the simple life is truly the happy life. 🙂
